Immune System Boosting Foods
Your body’s immune system
works hard to fight off viruses, including colds and flu’s.
These foods may help boost
your immune system or lessen cold symptoms:
Oily fish-This
includes mackerel, tuna, and salmon.
These are all rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce inflammation
that can hamper the immune system’s ability to work efficiently.
Citrus fruits-These
may lessen the duration of a cold.
Anise seeds-These licorice-flavored
seeds, with antibacterial properties, can ease coughing and help to clear
congestion from the lungs. This can be taken
as a tea.
Milk-Milk contains vitamin D
that bolsters the body’s immune system and the ability to fight off colds and
flu.
